Upholstery is the most sensitive part of a padded chair. Proper regular care not only preserves the appearance but significantly extends fabric life. The main rule: don't wait for a stain to dry.
Velour is a fabric with a pile surface that gives it a characteristic velvety look. For daily care, a soft brush or vacuum with a soft attachment is enough. Remove stains with a slightly damp cloth — work with the pile, not against it. Avoid aggressive cleaners containing acetone or alcohol.
Chenille is a dense fabric with a looped structure. It's less prone to pilling than velour but can attract small household debris. Vacuum regularly, and remove fresh stains with cold water and neutral soap. Don't use a hair dryer on chenille — it deforms the fibres.
Eco-leather is the easiest material to maintain. Weekly wiping with a damp cloth is enough. Remove deep dirt with household soap. Avoid direct sunlight — prolonged UV exposure discolours even quality eco-leather. Apply a leather conditioner every 3–4 months to prevent cracking.
